How do I sell crypto on OKX P2P trading?
OKX P2P Trading enables you to buy crypto from or sell crypto to other users in the P2P, or peer-to-peer, marketplace in your local currency.
For merchants, this function enables you to easily sell your crypto assets and receive the currencies you want. You will be able to select from a wide range of payment methods that you would like to receive the payment through. OKX will hold onto crypto for security and only enables the merchant to release crypto once the merchant receives payment from the buyer.
To protect your account security, a 24-hour protection period is activated after resetting your security information (such as changing your password, email address, phone number, authenticator app, or passkey). During this period, selling crypto and withdrawal operations are temporarily unavailable.

How do I sell crypto on P2P Express?

1. Select P2P trading > Express > Sell
2. Enter the amount you want to sell and select the crypto you wish to sell (if you have insufficient funds, select Manage funds> Funding Account, Trading Account or Earn to proceed with selling)
3. Tap Select payment method > Choose the payment method > Preview order > Confirm
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete multi-factor authentication and place your order, then wait for the buyer to make payment. You can also contact the buyer via the Chat window.
5. Once the buyer completes payment, you should always double-check if you have received the correct amount.
6. Once you've confirmed receipt of payment, promptly select Release crypto and complete the order. You'll also need to complete verification when releasing crypto.

How do I sell crypto on P2P Trading?

Open OKX App and select P2P trading > P2P
Select Sell at the top and select the local currency you want to receive. Feel free to use Filters to check the results by payment method, amount, and other options. Select an offer by selecting the relevant Sell button.
View the available orders on Sell page
On the sell order popup, enter the quantity of the crypto you want to sell for local currency or the amount you'd like to receive. Check the details entered and select Sell crypto with 0 fees.

Once it's done, select the payment method to receive funds on the next screen > Select Sell.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete multi-factor authentication and place your order, then wait for the buyer to make payment. You can also contact the buyer via the Chat window.

Note:
If your assets appear frozen, please check whether you've recently made an on-chain deposit that hasn't reached the required number of block confirmations yet. Always confirm whether you've received the merchant's payment through your banking app or your transaction history. Do not rely on SMS notifications or any other method of confirmation.
Verified Merchants on the platform are permitted to receive payments via non-real-name accounts. You can proceed with the transaction with confidence.
If you've released crypto without having received payment, you can raise a dispute directly.
Always refer to the payment method shown on the order details page, or the payment details in the card sent by the merchant via the IM chat window. Make sure not to send payment to the wrong account.
Multi-factor authentication requirements for P2P selling and releasing crypto
With passkey linked:
Order amount ≥ 10,000 USDT: Passkey verification + 2FA (SMS/authenticator app + email verification) required
Order amount < 10,000 USDT: Choose between passkey verification or 2FA (SMS/authenticator app + email verification)
Without passkey linked:
Order amount ≥ 10,000 USDT: 2FA only (SMS/authenticator app + email verification)

Where can I check my P2P sell orders?
With the sell order placed, you must wait for the buyer to make a payment to your bank or wallet account. When they've completed their payment, you'll be able to check them by following the steps below.

What should I do after I confirm the buyer's payment in P2P Trading?
Remember to not release crypto until you've received the payment and confirmed it for yourself, and you shouldn't rely on the buyer to provide a screenshot of the completed payment. Make sure that the details of the payment received match those shown on the screen. When you've confirmed that the funds are in your account, you can Release crypto to the buyer, and you'll receive a confirmation of your completed P2P order.
